Heather Isaacs

Class of 2023

Heather earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Purdue University in December 2023. During her time at Purdue, she was deeply involved in Purdue Bands & Orchestras, serving in a variety of student leadership roles from 2019 through 2023. Heather completed five seasons with the “All-American” Marching Band as a trumpet player, serving as section leader, supply team lead during her junior year, and executive team lead during her senior year. She also participated in concert band ensembles each spring and performed with the Purdue Wind Ensemble during her fourth year. In addition, she became a member of Kappa Kappa Psi as a freshman and remains active through the Gamma Pi Alumni Association.

Heather joined the Purdue Bands & Orchestras Advisory Board in December 2024. She credits her involvement as one of the most transformative experiences of her collegiate career and is committed to helping future students benefit from the same opportunities for growth, leadership, and connection. Her perspective as a recent graduate brings valuable insight into the current student experience and the evolving needs of Purdue Bands & Orchestras.

Professionally, Heather works as a Manufacturing Engineer II with BAE Systems’ Space & Mission Systems Division. While she is not currently performing with a community ensemble, she remains actively engaged with music by attending concerts and other musical events in her area. In 2026, she achieved a longtime personal goal by earning her private pilot’s license. Heather is proud to remain connected to Purdue Bands & Orchestras and to support the organization’s continued success through her service on the Advisory Board.
