CONCERT BANDS
With one of the most robust concert band programs in the nation, Purdue Bands & Orchestras prides itself on musical excellence and opportunity for all. Comprised of 8 different concert bands, including the elite Purdue Wind Ensemble, the concert band program offers an incredible variety of performance and masterclass opportunities for 400+ student musicians during the fall and spring semester. Each ensemble rehearses 2-3 days a week and performs two concerts – the perfect time commitment for any college musician – no matter their major.

Purdue Wind Ensemble
The Purdue Wind Ensemble recently performed at the Western International Band Clinic in Seattle, WA (2024), at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington D.C. (2025) and will soon tour Spain (Spring 2026). They have traveled the world performing throughout Central Europe, Eastern Europe, Spain, and at the famed Carnegie Hall twice (2006, 20216).
