Records Retention Schedules

Records retention schedules list the required length of time a particular record should be kept and how it should be disposed of at the end of the retention period. Additional information found on the schedule includes the office of record, what the retention period is based on (legal requirement or business need), and whether copies of a record may be maintained by other units.

Questions about a particular schedule may be directed to the records coordinator(s) for that area or to the Records Retention Committee.
