Scholarship Information
All programs under Summer College for High School Students are for-credit courses. For high school students to earn college credit for the course[s] they attend and to secure room and board (housing and meal plan) for their stay, the University must bill the student for those respective charges. Current rates are shown in the tables on this webpage. Students must reside on campus, have a meal plan, and enroll in the course for credit for the duration of the week.
Students selected to attend a short-term course with reduced or no cost will receive a scholarship to offset their cost of attendance. The following short-term courses have a reduced or no cost of attendance for Summer 2026 (see descriptions on the short-term course page for more details):
- ASRI (Agricultural Science Research Institute) - application-based
- Code Explorers - application-based (up to $200)
- CyberSafe Heroes - application-based (up to $200)
- Developing Tomorrow's Infrastructure - An Introduction to Civil and Construction Engineering - 50% scholarship to all students
- Finding Your Place in Business at Purdue - application-based (up to 50%)
- MITE - Maximizing Impact Through Engineering - application-based

Applications for course-specific scholarships will be sent out once a student is admitted to the course or by request. If a student does not complete the scholarship by the deadline, no extensions will be made.

Scholarships will be awarded in June/July. Once those have been processed, you will see a credit pending toward your balance due on your account. Please note: The United States Department of Education regulates that scholarship funding can only be posted to a student's account 10 days before the class start date. Official scholarship amounts cannot be guaranteed or disclosed prior to that time, and final invoices will not be due until the program starts. Please also note that in the event the student cancels late or does not show up to the program, scholarship funds cannot be used, and the family will be responsible for up to the full program cost (even if the program was initially fully or partially funded).
If you anticipate receiving a scholarship and happen to receive a check or financial aid refund, please refrain from cashing any checks received or spending the money until you verify that all charges have posted to your student account as outlined above. The money may have been sent before all charges were added to your student account and could result in a balance due.
Please refer to the Office of the Bursar for the primary source of tuition/costs.
