RSICC License Request

Radiation Safety Information Computational Center (RSICC) provides its packages to authorized individuals. The software distributed by RSICC is licensed to individual requestors under a single user license agreement while employed or enrolled at Purdue.

In accordance with the Single User Software license, As the software licensee, you can install the RSICC controlled software on personally owned devices at your own risk.

If, however, you need to use the software on Purdue owned Information Systems, Purdue University, has created a process to request and install RSICC controlled software on a central service. The secure process allows us to compile with export regulations and RSICC licensing terms while safeguarding the installation of the software.

The software must not be installed on Purdue owned personal laptops, or on a Cloud based solution unless hosted by RSICC. The software will be available on the dedicated RSICC server provided by ECN.

The steps below will provide you directions for requesting the software.

Step 1: Register with RSICC

Note: If you already registered, skip to step 2.

You must register or be registered with RSICC before you can request software. Software cannot be requested by another RSICC member.

Be sure to provide thorough information when registering. The information will be used by export control authorities to make an informed decision regarding the approval of your request. You will receive an approval email. Maintain the copy of the email, you will need it to prove you can have access to the software.

Once registered, you can request content from the RSICC catalog. RSICC will deliver the software as either a download or by United States (U.S.) Postal Service.

You must keep the physical media. You will be asked to return the media when you no longer need access to the software.

You are responsible for safeguarding the physical media. Do not share the physical media or allow others to access the software under your credentials.
