Does Purdue have electric vehicle charging stations? If so, who may use them?

Yes, we currently have five stations. They are located (one each) in the following locations: Grant Street Garage, Northwestern Avenue Garage, University Street Garage, Harrison Street Garage and on the southeast side of the Armory. Any facility or staff member with an "A" permit may purchase an Electric Vehicle (EV) hangtag and use the EV space. Students may be allowed to purchase an "A" permit and EV hangtag by contacting the parking facilities manager for an exception. Vehicles parked in a Purdue University EV charging station parking space must possess and properly display both a valid Purdue University A parking permit and a Purdue University EV permit. Vehicles eligible to park in a Purdue University EV parking space must be capable of being recharged by connecting to the station with a SAE J1722 connector, either with or without customer supplied adapter. Vehicles not having this capability, regardless of whether or not a valid a Purdue University EV parking permit is displayed, are in violation of University regulations. Electric or hybrid vehicles plugged in to any electrical outlet, except a Purdue University EV charging station, on campus are in violation of University regulations.
