Registration

If you are parking your bicycle or electric or motor powered vehicle (EMPV) on campus for any amount of time, we strongly suggest you register your device. Should you ever need any assistance with your bike or EMPV (e.g. lock maintenance, repairs, instruction, etc.) we will only be able to help you if your device is registered or if you can provide the serial number.

How to Register

Bring your bicycle or EMPV to Parking Facilities (STEW, room G054) and ask about bike/EMPV registration. Registration is available on a walk-in basis, Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m.

The Purdue University Police Department (PUPD) can also complete bicycle or EMPV registration at Terry House (TERY), located at 205 S. Martin Jischke Drive, West Lafayette.

Other opportunities to register your bicycle or EMPV may be available at a variety of events like the Purdue Farmers Market throughout the year. Contact parking@purdue.edu for additional information about registration.

Tips for Registering Your Bike/EMPV

  • You MUST bring your bicycle or EMPV with you to register.
  • If you have a smartphone, download the “529 Garage” app prior to coming to register your device. Bring your phone with you.
  • Your bicycle or EMPV is NOT registered until we have confirmed your information and a sticker has been placed on your device.
