Logo Usage & Branding Guidelines

This document outlines how the Administrative Operations logo should be used to represent all units and departments within the organization.

This document provides guidelines and resources for fonts, colors, logos, templates and business card orders to follow the Purdue University and Administrative Operations brand.

Logos

Administrative Operations Co-Brand

The following RGB logos (ending in .png) are preferred for Microsoft Office applications. 

One-color or CYMK custom print logos must be requested through our web and graphic designer by email.

For logo placement and usage guidelines, follow the Purdue Brand Studio guidelines.

Purdue University Signature Logo

The Purdue University signature logo may be used for external communications when we are acting on behalf of the university or as an alternative to the Administrative Operations logo. The logos can be downloaded below.

Using the Administrative Operations template for internal presentations and the Purdue University template for external presentations is recommended.

Downloadable Background Images

Sport your Administrative Operations pride in Teams meetings or on your desktop with branded background images. These backgrounds feature AO’s guiding principles of safe, reliable and transformative, along with an iconic campus destination or Purdue’s core gold and black colors.

  1. Click on one of the PNG files above
  2. When the image opens, right-click and select “Save image as…”
  3. Choose your desired file location, and click “Save”

  1. Click the provided link in your calendar invite to join a scheduled Teams meeting
  2. Click “Background filters” under the video display preview
  3. Click “+ Add new” in the Background settings panel that appears on the right
  4. Navigate to the file location where you saved the background image
  5. Select the file, and click “Open”
  6. To add more than one background, repeat steps 4-6
  7. Then, scroll down to the bottom of the Background settings panel, and click on the background you added
  8. The background filter will appear in the video display preview
    • Note: It will appear that the logo and included text are backwards in your preview and in your own image during the meeting, but it will be displayed correctly to others in the meeting
  9. Click “Join now” to begin the meeting with your selected background

  1. Right-click on your desktop screen, and choose “Personalize”
  2. Under the preview of your current background, select “Picture” from the Background drop-down menu
  3. Under Choose your picture, click “Browse” and navigate to the file location where you saved the background image
  4. Click on the file you just loaded, and your background preview at the top of the window and on your desktop screen behind the window will update
  5. Close the Settings window
