Purdue University Online programs provide eligible BWXT employees and immediate family members opportunities to support professional development, career growth and workforce readiness. Who is Eligible?
BWXT employees
Active regular full-time employees and eligible part-time employees who are regularly scheduled to work at least 20 hours per week are eligible for the BWXT Education Refund benefit.
Immediate family members
Eligible immediate family members — including spouses, domestic partners, siblings and children — receive a 5% tuition discount on eligible Purdue University Online programs and access to Purdue’s deferred billing option.
Family members are not eligible for BWXT’s $5,250 annual Education Refund benefit.

How to Get Started
How to Get Started with the BWXT–Purdue Partnership
- Discuss your education plans with your manager
Before beginning the process, discuss your education goals and proposed program with your manager to ensure alignment with your current role or professional development at BWXT. Education Refund funding is managed through the employee’s cost center or applicable corporate budget. - Explore eligible Purdue University Online programs
Discover Purdue University Online degrees available through the BWXT–Purdue Partnership, including a 5% tuition discount on eligible programs for eligible employees and immediate family members. - Connect with Purdue and apply
Request information from Purdue University Online to learn more about available programs, admissions requirements and the BWXT partnership. When ready, apply to your selected Purdue program. Purdue will provide assistance to interested employees throughout the enrollment process. - Submit your BWXT Education Refund pre-approval
If you plan to use BWXT’s Education Refund Plan, submit a pre-approval request through the BWXT Education Refund Platform before enrolling in any course. Your request must receive the required approvals from your manager and Talent Management before course enrollment. - Enroll, complete your course and submit final documentation
After receiving BWXT pre-approval, enroll in and complete your course. To receive reimbursement, submit your final approval request with your tuition receipt or invoice and official transcript or grade report showing successful course completion.
