Private Applicator Recertification Program
A Private Pesticide Applicator is anyone who applies pesticides to property they own, rent or otherwise control for the purpose of producing an agricultural commodity. Any private applicator wishing to buy and use restricted-use pesticides must be certified by passing the Core exam.

Private Applicator Recertification Program Overview
One of the three recertification programs completed in five years can be the PARP online program. The PARP online program can only be completed one time in a five-year certification period. No more than two recertification programs can be attended, for credit, in the same year.
Refunds will not be given if more than two programs are attended in a year.
Technology Requirements
- You will need to use a computer with a strong, reliable Internet connection. It is NOT recommended that you attempt to complete this course using only a mobile phone for your connection.
- Participants must be able to use BrightSpace, the online learning platform, and all its features. This includes being able to navigate course content, view videos, and answer quiz questions.
- If you do not have your own computer, consider going to a public library as most have free computer access or contacting local extension office.
What to Do and When
The online PARP is a self-paced course, you can go through the material as quickly or slowly as your time allows. The modules are designed to allow you to review the material as many times as you need until you feel confident that you have learned the material.
After registering and paying $10, you will receive an email with log-in information. You have until December 31st at 11:59 pm (midnight) in the calendar year in which you enrolled in the course to complete. You must receive 100% on the two quizzes to receive a completion for the course.
