As part of your employment with Lilly, you have access to education benefits through EdAssist by Bright Horizons and Purdue University. What You Receive as a Lilly Employee
Eligible Lilly employees can receive up to $10,000 annually in educational support through EdAssist by Bright Horizons®. Once this benefit has been applied, the Purdue Tuition Grant (PTG) may cover any remaining eligibility tuition costs for qualifying online and hybrid programs:

How to Access Your Educational Benefit
To receive your education benefits, please follow the steps below:
Before you apply to your program, be sure you qualify for tuition benefits. Contact EdAssist through your Human Resources Benefits Portal and review your education benefits policy and participant instructions.
To submit a benefit application request, complete the application process through EdAssist from your Human Resources Benefits Portal to use this benefit.
If you need assistance with your EdAssist application, you can reach out using these steps:
- Support Tickets: Navigate to Support Page > Create a New Support Ticket
- Application Comments: Go to Specific Application > Create or View Comments
- Live Chat: Within a Specific Application, click on the “?” icon and select “Get Live Help
To check the status of the approval of your EdAssist application and obtain your Letter of Credit, you can check the status in the EdAssist portal 24/7. You will also receive a system-generated email sent to your account whenever your application status changes.
Once your EdAssist application has been approved, obtain any necessary documents (i.e. Letter of Credit) from EdAssist to submit to Purdue University.
To apply to graduate programs and certificates, please visit Purdue’s online “How to Apply ” site. When working with a recruiter, we recommend that you self-identify as an Eli Lilly employee during the application process. Please note that you must complete the full application process and meet all standard admissions criteria to be considered for admission. For details on how to waive the application fee, please refer to the No Fee to Apply section below.
First, you will need to provide your eligibility documentation obtained from EdAssist to the professional development team at noncredit@purdue.edu. To register for a nondegree, professional development course or certificate, register directly for your chosen course work by accessing the Professional Development Online Course Catalog.
Through our partnership with Eli Lilly, Purdue University is pleased to waive the application fee for platform users.
To receive the waiver, follow these steps:
- Submit your application without making a payment, even if the system prompts you to do so.
- Notify our team by contacting your enrollment counselor or emailing poapply@purdue.edu. In your message, please indicate that you are an Eli Lilly employee requesting the fee waiver.
Our enrollment team will ensure the waiver is internally applied in a timely manner and your application is processed in full.
While many Purdue University online offerings are eligible for this benefit, the following are not included:
- Doctoral-level programs
- Repeated courses
Additionally, certain fees are not covered, including but not limited to:
- Textbooks and supplemental learning materials
- Technology or lab fees
- Licensing or credential exam fees
- Commuting, housing or meal expenses
- Personal computers or internet costs
Only tuition and directly associated eligible fees will be supported through the program.

Important Notes

No Retroactive Benefits
Tuition reduction benefits cannot be applied to any coursework completed prior to the Spring 2026 semester, regardless of the student’s admission term at Purdue.

Being a Lilly employee does not guarantee admission. All applicants must meet Purdue University’s academic and admissions standards.
Calendar Year Benefit Structure
Education benefits are applied on a calendar-year basis. To maximize the available benefit, consider enrolling earlier in the year.
Loans Disqualify PTG Eligibility
If you choose to accept federal or private student loans (including TitleIV), you may become ineligible for the Purdue Tuition Grant. Please consult with EdAssist before applying for loans.
