Appointments, honors and activities
- Student honors:
Jenail Marshall, a doctoral candidate in physical and biological anthropology, received a 2020 Graduate Research Fellowship from the National Science Foundation. The fellowship is available to students in research-based graduate programs at U.S. institutions that offer degrees in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Marshall will receive $34,000 for her research.
Kunal Thakur, an industrial engineering senior from Saint Paul, Minnesota, has been named the Outstanding Study Abroad Student by Purdue’s Study Abroad Office. He spent the 2019 calendar year at National University of Singapore (NUS). Working closely with both NUS and Purdue, upon return to Purdue he worked with Purdue’s Study Abroad Office to welcome new incoming international exchange students arriving to campus.
