Three-day virtual Road to Retirement conference to begin
The fall 2021 Road to Retirement three-day virtual conference, which supports the financial wellness pillar of the Healthy Boiler Program, will kick off Wednesday (Sept. 22) and run through Friday (Sept. 24). Resources will be available to employees to help them plan for a successful retirement, no matter where they are on their retirement planning path. The conference schedule is available to view online and includes an independent study section that employees can take advantage of anytime.
Multiple experts and resources from a variety of organizations – Center for Healthy Living, Fidelity, HSA Bank, Purdue HR Benefits, Purdue University Retirees Association, PERF, TIAA and more – will address a variety of financial wellness and retirement topics.
Topics include creating a budget, things to do before you retire, understanding retiree health plan options, Social Security planning, retirement plan income options, mental health aspects of retirement, protecting against elder financial fraud and more.
Some presentations will be offered live, and others will be prerecorded for viewing anytime. Sessions specific to groups or campus will be noted in the schedule. Registration is required for the live presentations offered by Fidelity. Follow the links in the schedule to register.
Pre-program preparation encouraged for best takeaway
A few things can be done ahead of time to prepare for the information from the Road to Retirement program. Those planning on attending are encouraged to review the following:
