‘Working@Purdue’ offers employee tools, information on new Human Resources website

Human Resources recently launched a redesigned website to help faculty, staff and other visitors to the site navigate more easily to the information they need. One focal area of the updated website is Working@Purdue.

In the Working@Purdue section of the website, employees can find the resources they need most frequently. Here’s a breakdown of what’s there.

  • Employee Self-Service lives up to its name by allowing employees to complete tasks on their own, such as updating personal information or tax withholding, setting up direct deposit, providing proof of employment or requesting online access to W-2s – all these in one easy-to-use spot.
  • New Employee Orientation / New Hire Resources offers information on new employee orientation sessions, resources for those new to the University and a section of frequently asked questions for new hires. Onboarding guides to help new hires (and their supervisors) prepare for their first 30 days at Purdue are available.
  • Timekeeping, Pay and Time Off is a one-stop shop for all things related to pay, including how to request time off through SuccessFactors and information on compensation, performance and merit. Also found on this page are pay calendars – the academic year and fiscal year calendars are designed for employees, while the monthly, biweekly and summer payroll calendars are intended for use by business offices, payroll centers and administrators.
  • Managing Your Career houses important information to help employees understand career paths, including the Career Path Maker, which maps out potential paths; fee remission; performance and pay; and skill development opportunities such as LinkedIn Learning. Employees are also reminded to use the OneCampus Employee Launchpad to search for internal career opportunities.
  • Workplace Environment provides useful knowledge on information security, a safe work environment and assisting employees.
  • Awards and Recognition links to information on a variety of campus award and recognition programs.
  • Communications and News points to several campus communications where employees can find relevant news and updates.
  • Engagement/Getting Involved houses opportunities for employees to connect, whether through an employee advisory committee, the Healthy Boiler Program or the annual Spring Fling event.
