Dooley to talk about Purdue University Global’s role as a workforce development provider at USA/Mexico Energy Corridor Symposium
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Frank Dooley will discuss the need to train individuals at the United States-Mexico border as part of the USA/Mexico Energy Corridor Symposium on Friday (Sept. 24).
Dooley, the chancellor of Purdue University Global, will be part of a panel speaking about workforce development and key challenges in Central America. He will talk about the university’s role as a workforce development provider, participating virtually at 1:30 p.m. ET.
Under Dooley, Purdue Global has become a nimble, timely, highly relevant institution helping “nontraditional” students learn about and respond to today’s critical issues. Over the last year, Purdue Global has fostered significant partnerships with businesses to create relevant curriculum to suit the ever-evolving learning landscape.
The two-day hybrid symposium is being held at the University of Texas El Paso on Sept. 23 and at the Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez in Mexico on Sept. 24. It will seek to study and address the existing challenges at the border between the U.S. and Mexico and the challenges at the borders between Mexico and Central America.
