Purdue to offer strategic marketing program in October
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue University’s Center for Food and Agricultural Business will present the 2018 Strategic Agri-Marketing seminar Oct. 9-11 on Purdue University’s West Lafayette campus.
The program is designed for agricultural businesses looking to create an integrated and cohesive marketing strategy. This workshop-style program will allow participants to engage in discussion through the use of real-world case studies to better understand the decision-making process for effective marketing.
“In a time when agribusiness budgets are tight, it is more important now than ever for marketers to understand the metrics around decision making,” said Scott Downey, associate center director and associate professor of agricultural economics. “Strategic Agri-Marketing provides participants with tools and strategies to intentionally make strategic marketing decisions.”
In addition to Downey, Justin Funk, managing partner of Canada’s Agri Studies Inc., will present at the program.
Program topics include market segmentation; product line and brand strategies; and distribution, price and promotion strategies.
Participants will explore areas beyond the basics of marketing, learn to design and manage marketing channels, address management issues in distribution systems and examine components of an integrated communication approach.
This program is designed for leaders responsible for developing marketing strategies for their agricultural businesses, such as vice presidents of marketing, marketing directors, marketing managers and senior product and brand managers.
The program early bird rate is $2,595 through Aug. 10. After that, the program rate is $2,695. Learn more and register at http://agribusiness.purdue.edu/seminars-and-events/strategic-agrimarketing.
