WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Established agribusiness owners and entrepreneurs can learn how to expand their markets at Purdue Extension’s Horticultural Business and Marketing Symposium.
The event will be held Feb. 23, 8:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, 1202 E. 38th St., Indianapolis.
The event offers marketing training with a competitive edge for businesses ranging from nursery, land and turf operations to fruit and vegetable growers who sell directly to customers, including individuals, farmers markets and restaurants.
“The symposium is a day-long event where horticultural businesses will learn about the use of social media to sell, develop their marketing plans for 2017, how to deal with conflict in a family business and other key topics that contribute to their long-term success,” said Ariana Torres, assistant professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics.
Registration is $110 before Feb. 9. The cost includes lunch. Participants can register at the door for $150. To register early, print the registration form from https://api.ag.purdue.edu/api/DepotWS/File.ashx?t=f&i=50349 or contact Lori Jolly Brown at 765-494-1296 or ljollybr@purdue.edu.
