Breaking barriers, building bridges: Spark new ideas in dialogue with students
The Center for Instructional Excellence (CIE) invites Purdue West Lafayette instructors to join weekly Pedagogy Circles, casual one-hour discussions led by Student Pedagogy Advocates (SPAs), undergraduate students interested in enhancing teaching and learning at PWL.
Throughout the semester, each session of Pedagogy Circles will feature topics for conversation, such as:
-How to encourage engaging classroom discussions.
-Strategies to implement inclusive and accessible pedagogies.
-Using artificial intelligence for course materials.
Through collaborative conversation between students and instructors, the SPAs look forward to seeing how Pedagogy Circles positively influences teaching and learning at PWL. Everyone is welcome to the weekly conversations. Those interested in joining may complete this Qualtrics survey.
CIE is a member of Innovative Learning, Purdue West Lafayette’s hub approach to connect PWL instructors to the resources they need to engage students, develop courses in any instructional modality, and enhance learning across the University. Other members include Libraries and the School of Information Studies and Purdue University Online. To learn more, visit www.purdue.edu/innovativelearning or email InnovativeLearningTeam@purdue.edu.
