Intellectual Property Your Teaching, Part II: The Fair Use Doctrine, the TEACH Act, and using Media Resources
Nov. 10, 1:30-2:20 p.m., LB440A (Helmke)
Facilitator: Kent Kauffman, J.D., Associate Professor of Business Law and CELT Teaching Fellow
Two important parts of copyright law that intersect are the Fair Use Doctrine and the TEACH Act. These statutes concern how much of a copyrighted work faculty can use in our teaching activities without getting a license or permission, and this second part of the intellectual property sessions will show how they apply to face-to-face and online teaching.
