
Rebecca Walker
Director of Indianapolis Program Operations
Rebecca Walker is the director of Indianapolis program operations and chief of staff for the senior vice provost of Purdue University in Indianapolis. In this role, she advises, directs, monitors and implements high-level strategic, organizational and operational issues and agendas for the Indianapolis location. After leading teams for over 30 years in higher education, non-profit, finance, sales, operations and administration for multinational firms and start-ups, Walker has developed a unique skillset as a master of collaboration and process improvement. She received the prestigious Hard-Wired Award for Creative Approach to Problem-Solving at the Indiana University School of Medicine for her creative approach to problem solving and was selected to participate in the Indiana University Institute for Supervisory Excellence leadership program, a program in which she has served as a mentor to new cohorts.
Outside of Purdue, Walker is a staunch advocate for her son and other special needs children and adults to enable them to navigate an often-unfriendly world. She serves as president of the board of directors of Hollis Adams, a privately funded non-profit serving adults with developmental disabilities. She is also privileged to serve on the board of directors of Indiana Air Search and Rescue for over 15 years and is grateful for the opportunity to give back to our nation’s veterans. Walker holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Finance from Indiana University and her Master of Science in Management and Leadership from Western Governors University.
