Just in time for Halloween, new jack-o-lantern pumpkin research has been published in the ASHS journal HortTechnology. The research, led by Stephen Meyers, was conducted at 11 locations in 10 different states in 2021. Southwest Purdue Agriculture Center hosted Pumpkin Field Day on Sep. 17, 2025. HLA Extension specialists Liz Maynard, Steve Meyers and Wenjing Guan; HLA graduate student Helen Angelina Nocito; and Extension specialists Laura Ingwell from Entomology Department and Cesar Escalante from Botany and Plant Pathology Department presented at the event.
