Horticulture Crops Weed Science Lab in the News

On October 9, Maci Tetrick with WRTV News (ABC Indianapolis) visited the Meigs Horticulture Research Farm to learn about pumpkins and ongoing pumpkin research. She filmed Horticulture Crops Weed Science lab members harvesting pumpkins in Helen Nocito‘s MS thesis research plots. Check the 1:08-1:19 mark for cameos by Celia Corado and Helen Nocito. “The Chandlers’ faces lit up when I mentioned I had visited Meyers, as they have reached out to him for assistance several times with their crops. ‘One of the interesting things about Purdue, and especially Purdue Extension.. If there’s an issue with the plant, we know whether to call the pathologist, the entomologist, the weed specialist,’ Jerry Chandler shared.”
