Fulbright Week 2026

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program awards over 1,900 fully funded grants for U.S. Citizens to conduct research, study, or teach during a post-baccalaureate year abroad. Join us for Fulbright Week to learn more about all the awards offered. 

Monday, Feb. 16

Fulbright: Around the World in 90 Minutes

5 - 6:15 PM / HCRN 1066 (Honors Hall)

Mix and mingle with Purdue’s rich and varied Fulbright community. Attendees include Fulbright-connected faculty, staff, and students from around campus and the world. Use this opportunity to learn about Fulbright from those who know it best and connect with individuals with regional knowledge or “travel the world” and explore potential host countries for your Fulbright experience. Appetizers and refreshments will be provided.

Fulbright for Graduate Students*

6:30 - 7:30 PM / HCRN 1145

Ph.D. and master’s students: learn more about Fulbright grants to fund independent research, to teach English abroad, or to earn a secondary degree from an institution abroad. This session will emphasize the challenges and benefits specific to graduate students. Those who are interested but cannot attend are encouraged to attend one of the general sessions.

STEM undergraduate students – wondering how Fulbright can contribute to your study and professional goals? To celebrate the end of Fulbright Week 2026, join us for a Q&A and moderated conversation with Purdue Fulbrighters past and present. Learn more about their individual experiences across a wide range of regions and opportunities and consider what life might be like for you as a Fulbrighter.

Fulbright Faculty Committee Lunch and Learn (Faculty only)

1:30 - 3 PM /  HCRS 1076 (STEAM Lab)

Current Fulbright U.S. Student Program campus committee members, join us to discuss Fulbright updates, plans for this year’s review/endorsement process, and meet Purdue’s new Fulbright Program Administrator. Faculty and staff with ties to Fulbright (previous Fulbrighter, helped with processes at another university, worked for some aspect of the Fulbright sphere), come learn about the role of the campus committee and meet current members. Many have been engaging in the process for a decade+. Lunch provided; time for plenty of Q&A and mingling. This event is for staff and faculty only.
