Graduate Students and Alumni

Planning to study or conduct research abroad? NISO is here for you. We coordinate the Fulbright U.S. Student Program which funds 9-12 month abroad experiences for U.S. Citizens. Seniors, recent graduates, and graduate students (must not have a PhD as of the application submission deadline) alike are eligible to apply. Timing is everything! The application process for this grant begins in the spring semester, 15+ months before one would go abroad. It's best to explore the options as soon as possible.

In addition, current graduate students and recent alumni may be eligible to apply for graduate scholarships funding degree programs in the United Kingdom through the Gates-Cambridge, Marshall, Mitchell, and Rhodes Scholarships and China through the Schwarzman Scholars program. Please review the eligibility criteria on the foundation websites to determine your eligibility and consult with NISO if you feel you are qualified and eligible.
