Purdue Excellence in Research Administration (PERA) rollout continues
March 31, 2025
Since its first modules went live in 2024, Purdue’s next-generation research administration platform, PERA, continues to be enhanced to better serve researchers’ needs.
During 2025, new modules and key functionality advancements are being introduced. In March, the institutional biosafety committee (IBC) module went live in PERA, and this summer the already-launched agreements module will gain new functionality to support some research security and export control activities. Other modules planned for this fall are:
- Conflict of interest/conflict of commitment module
- Institutional review board (IRB) module
Over the coming weeks additional functionality will be rolled out to the available modules. One key example will be the inclusion of new data fields enabling detailed report creation and allowing faculty to provide other personnel (e.g., managing directors, assistants) with access to their project portfolio in the grants and agreements modules. Stay tuned for more announcements as these are introduced.
