Introducing PERA: Purdue's New Research Administration System is Now Live!

Dear Colleagues,
I am proud to announce that after more than a year of planning, the Purdue Excellence in Research Administration system, or PERA, is now live!
Beginning today, faculty, staff and students involved in research will use PERA to submit grant proposals, manage research funding and contracts, and apply to IACUC. PERA’s rollout includes a new Research Account Dashboard that allows researchers access to their current portfolios of grants and allocation accounts (total budget, expenditures, commitments and available balances). Additional modules (IRB, biosafety, export control and conflict of interest/conflict of commitment) will come online over the next year.
In coming days, users will receive system-generated emails from NoreplyPERA@purdue.edu. To log into the PERA system, simply click the link in these emails or visit the PERA website.
For research administration at Purdue, PERA is a major step forward. It offers a new way of doing business that will increase efficiency and transparency. As you begin to use PERA, help is available. The PERA website offers several training resources and a PERA Help Desk with access to specialists ready to help.
I want to thank everyone involved with bringing us to this point. The PERA core project team, consisting of more than 50 individuals across multiple business and technical areas, has done a wonderful job to bring PERA online.
