David is a long-standing member of the Purdue University community. As a proud Boilermaker, he combines twenty years of professional experience in Institutional Research.

Initially hired into the College of Engineering, he built out its IR function and aided most of the Purdue colleges in doing the same. In 2023, he was charged by the incoming administration to lead and construct the university?s inaugural External Data Analytics team. Together, they manage the university?s rankings, conduct critical benchmarking studies and facilitate key presidential messages. They turn mountains of higher education data into actionable insights for Purdue?s executive audiences.

In 2025, his team was renamed Strategic Data Analytics and started a rotation among key vertical units. He and his team work closely with Purdue?s data offices and college data-community and have co-authority over the university?s IPEDS HR reporting and Academic Analytics accuracy. 

In service to his profession, he is on his 3rd tour of duty on Indiana?s Association of Institutional Researchers Executive Board and has served on the American Society of Engineering Education?s National Data Collection Advisory Board since 2020. Prior to joining Purdue, David worked in 9 years IT and Supply Chain Planning for Intel Corporation in Sacramento, California.
