Founder and CEO, Quality Electrodynamics, Former Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Ohio State University

Dr. Hiroyuki Fujita is an acclaimed medical technology entrepreneur, physicist, and higher education leader deeply rooted in Ohio. He is the founder and CEO of Cleveland-based Quality Electrodynamics (QED), a global leader in advanced MRI technology. Additionally, he serves as Chairman of Canon Healthcare USA, Inc. and Chief Technology Officer for the MR Division of Canon Medical Systems Corporation.

Beyond his corporate achievements, Dr. Fujita is a prominent figure at The Ohio State University, where he served as a member and former Chairman of the Board of Trustees. His dedication to public service and global collaboration is further reflected in his appointment as the inaugural Honorary Consul of Japan in Cleveland, a role dedicated to strengthening economic and cultural partnerships between Japan and Ohio.

An alumnus of Case Western Reserve University, where he earned his Ph.D. in physics, Dr. Fujita holds multiple adjunct professorships. His contributions to science, education, and international relations have earned him numerous accolades, including an honorary doctorate from Waseda University.
