Due to the growth in demand for companies to have operations close to campus, Purdue constructed the Convergence Center for Innovation and Collaboration, dedicated to providing flexible and permanent space for companies to co-locate and partner with the University. Funding Innovation
OIP provides material support for research and the development of intellectual property by setting up meetings, providing legal assistance, greenlighting approvals and tracking progress. They work extensively with data to ensure research projects move along smoothly, with accurate reporting throughout the process.
OIP staff can also help align faculty research, patents and product development with the needs of local industry and connect faculty with resources to fund new initiatives.
