Dr. Dana Z. Anderson is the Founder and Chief Science Officer at Infleqtion (formerly ColdQuanta), as well as a Fellow of JILA and the Glenn L. Murphy Professor of Engineering and Applied Sciences at the University of Colorado Boulder. Co-founding ColdQuanta in 2007 and initially serving as its CEO, he has played a central role in transforming quantum academic research into commercial technology. A world-renowned pioneer in optical quantum engineering, atomtronics, and ultracold atom systems, Dr. Anderson helped establish the underlying technology for NASA’s Cold Atom Laboratory.

His work focuses on advancing practical applications in quantum sensing, precision timing, inertial navigation, and quantum computing. An author of over 100 scientific publications, Dr. Anderson is an elected member of the National Academy of Engineering and a Fellow of both the American Physical Society and Optica. His contributions to quantum science have earned him numerous prestigious accolades, including the Optica R.W. Wood Prize, the Willis E. Lamb Award for Laser Science and Quantum Optics, and a Humboldt Senior Research Award.
