Think Summer

Purdue’s four-year graduation rate is 60%, and nearly 60% of those who fall into that category take advantage of summer! Registration for summer courses is now open for all students, and instructions can be found on the Think Summer website.  We also encourage your student to apply for summer aid in their myPurdue portal.

CCO Spotlight

Is your student starting the job search process this semester or planning to attend an upcoming career fair? The CCO would like to remind parents and family members about your students' free access to a myCCO account. This is a “one stop shop” to view current employers, obtain mock interview assistance, upload resumes, view available internships as well as apply for full and part time job from current employers who partner with the CCO! Your student simply needs to visit www.cco.purdue.edu and click on “myCCO” on the left side of the home page to begin the process. Lastly, if your student is considering a career fair, please consider sharing the following fairs with them: Just In Time Job Fair on April 17 (open to all majors) and Teacher Recruitment Day on April 22. For more information please view our CCO event calendar at https://www.cco.purdue.edu/Calendar.

Purdue debuts Boiler Tracks for Purdue’s 150th anniversary

Purdue Dining & Catering debuted a new ice cream flavor in honor of Purdue University’s Sesquicentennial Celebration, 150 Years of Giant Leaps, on March 1. Known as Boiler Tracks, the vanilla ice cream includes a mix of chocolate pieces, toffee and caramel. The ice cream was developed as part of a partnership between Dining & Catering and students in a capstone class in the Department of Food Science. Boiler Tracks will be served in residential dining courts as well as Harrison Grill, and will be available for purchase at Pappy’s Sweet Shop, as well as in select retail locations. More.
