Purdue Commercial Chip and PIN Card Activation
Chip and PIN cards require a personal identification number (PIN).
Activate your card
To activate your card, call 1-866-602-8170 and follow the prompts:
- Enter your 16-digit card number.
- When prompted for Access Code 1, enter the last four digits of your PUID.
- Do not use the 11th digit on your ID card (typically a zero). Example: 00######## – 0
- When prompted for Access Code 2, enter your mother’s maiden name.
Important information
- If this card is replacing a previous card, securely destroy the old card by shredding it. Your existing PIN will remain the same.
- To reset your PIN, call the number on the back of your card: 800-316-6056.
- If this is a Purchasing card, it must be activated by the responsible individual listed in PaymentNet through your business office.

Additional note
If a U.S. merchant has not upgraded to a chip-enabled reader, your card’s magnetic stripe can still be used at traditional terminals.
