Transit, parking, mail service and space reservations in Indianapolis

With the start of a new academic year, several reminders and updates about auxiliary services including transit, parking, mail and space reservations are available for Purdue faculty, staff and students in Indianapolis.
New: Campus Transit shuttle
- As a new offering this year, free Campus Transit shuttle service will be available Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
- The shuttle will pick up and drop off at the Indianapolis location, 16 Tech Innovation District and Motorsports Engineering at Dallara in Speedway.
Campus Connect shuttle
- The fall schedule for the free Campus Connect shuttle, which runs seven days per week between West Lafayette and Indianapolis, began on Aug. 15.
- Maps of pick-up and drop-off locations, schedules and how to access the app for ride reservations are included on Purdue’s Campus Mobility website.
Jagline transit
- Purdue students, faculty, and staff have free access to the Jagline. Routes and more information are available on the IU Indianapolis Parking and Transportation Services website.
Parking
- Most parking locations in Indianapolis require an IU Indianapolis parking permit.
- Departments may purchase visitor and special event parking passes for the 501 Indiana Ave. and 401 W. Michigan St. lots by emailing parking@purdue.edu.
- IU Indianapolis offers parking garage validations for departmental visitors with monthly invoicing.
- Purdue’s Parking Operations website provides more information about annual permits, parking reciprocity in West Lafayette and numerous IU Indianapolis links and resources.
Mail services
- Weekday external campus mail and USPS mail are handled by IU Indianapolis Print and Mail Services for several campus buildings.
- The Student Center, Lux on Capitol, North Hall, Sigma Theta Tau and the Health and Human Sciences suite in Canal Square Apartments are serviced directly by USPS and other carriers.
- Weekly intercampus mail services between West Lafayette and Indianapolis are provided by Purdue Materials Management and Distribution and UPS.
Non-academic space reservations
- Purdue-managed space should be considered first for meetings, events or other non-academic purposes.
- Outdoor space is reservable at 401 Courtyard and Boiler Park. Boiler Park’s amenities include tables, chairs, umbrellas and yard games. A basketball court and pickleball court are newly available for the 2026-27 academic year.
- IU Indianapolis space may be considered and reserved if the locations above are unavailable or insufficient.
- Reservation processes for various spaces and escalating a reservation request are outlined on the Purdue Memorial Union website.
