Campus Transit
Purdue University now partners with Royal Excursion to provide transit service in Indianapolis during the fall and spring when classes are in session.
The 24-passenger shuttle is ADA accessible with a lift.
New for the 2026-27 academic year and beginning on Aug. 24, Purdue Campus Transit service is available at no cost to Purdue students, faculty and staff in Indianapolis. Service supports Purdue’s Indianapolis location and nearby programming. No preregistration or reservations are required, but riders may need to show their PUID when boarding.
Route Information
Campus Transit will run Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. during fall and spring academic semesters. The continuous route includes three stops, which are shown on the downloadable Indianapolis campus map (PDF):
- Purdue in Indianapolis along West Vermont Street, just east of the Blackford Street intersection. The stop is near the current Campus Connect shuttle pick-up and drop-off location.
- 16 Tech Innovation District at 1220 Waterway Blvd., Indianapolis
- Motorsports Engineering at Dallara in Speedway at 1201 N. Main Street, Speedway

Shuttle Tracking

Safety
The safety of Purdue students, faculty and staff is top priority. Royal Excursion, provider of Purdue Campus Transit in Indianapolis, is a nationally known transportation provider that takes driver training and passenger safety seriously.
Additional Transit Services
Purdue’s Campus Connect shuttle is a complimentary daily service for faculty, staff and students. The shuttle operates between the Indianapolis and West Lafayette campus locations. After arriving in West Lafayette, free Campus Transit fixed routes and on-demand rides are offered between a number of campus destinations.
IU Indianapolis Jagline is also available for navigating around the Indianapolis area.
