Purdue offering Qualcomm Academy 5G courses, certificate to students and employees

Purdue University is partnering with Qualcomm Academy to make basic certification in 5G high-speed wireless technology available to students and employees who want to add a valuable credential to their portfolios.

The Qualcomm Academy 5G certificate program includes two online courses:

• Introduction to 5G Technology: a two-hour  primer course that provides a thorough introduction to 5G technology for individuals across all career levels and technical abilities. Topics include the development of 5G, key technologies behind it, and its impact.
• Deep Dive into 5G Fundamentals: a more detailed six-hour look at the development of cellular communications, 5G, its evolution, and its potential to transform industries. The accessible course is ideal for individuals looking to progress in telecommunications- and technology-oriented careers.

The self-paced online courses are free to Purdue students and employees who register with a purdue.edu email address. To earn a certificate from Qualcomm Academy through Purdue, learners must complete the two courses and pass a 30-question, multiple-choice examination. It costs $29 to take the exam and receive the certificate.
