Purdue and Indiana Association of School Principals partner to offer discount on Google Career Certificates
Purdue and the Indiana Association of School Principals have partnered to offer principals, their faculty and staff, and students at schools statewide Google Career Certificates in high-demand technical skills at a substantial discount.
Google Career Certificates through Purdue in partnership with IASP are available in:
- Cybersecurity
- Data Analytics
- Digital Marketing & E-commerce
- Information technology (IT) support
- Project Management
Designed by experts at Google to teach skills in those areas, the Google Career Certificates are available through Purdue’s registration website. The registration code to receive the discount is available through the Indiana Association of School Principals (IASP).
More information about each noncredit certificate course can be found on Purdue’s Google certificate program website.
IASP is a not-for-profit, professional association serving more than 3,500 school building leaders in Indiana.
“IASP supports all school leaders in numerous ways and the opportunity to offer Google Career Certificates to our members was a natural extension of this support,” said IASP Executive Director Todd Bess. “By also making the certificates available to school faculty and students we allow these individuals to demonstrate their knowledge in a unique manner, and to then have a credential that they own forever. We recognize that principals, teachers, and students learn content in numerous ways beyond a classroom and earning a Google Career Certificate aligns with this fact.”
The Google Career Certificates are self-paced and can be completed fully online in under six months of part-time study. There are no prerequisites and no experience is required. Learners earn a certificate and a digital badge upon successful completion, providing validation of their newly attained knowledge and skills.
Purdue and Google announced in November 2023 that they were partnering to offer the certificates.
“When we launched the Google Career Certificates program, our goal was to make these valuable certificates as widely available as possible through Purdue,” said Dimitrios Peroulis, Purdue’s senior vice president for partnerships and online. “This partnership with the IASP is a great opportunity to extend the program to schools and learners around the state.”
