Services for Students
Many services and support systems are available at Purdue University to help students overcome obstacles. Student Support Services serves as the first point of contact for students who call, email or walk in to the Office of the Dean of Students. Student Support Specialists and Case Managers help students connect to campus resources, understand university procedures and provides support to students as they navigate issues that may be impacting them academically, financially or personally. Students visit us regarding a broad range of issues including those related to health/mental health, course attendance, questions about services available on campus, options for withdrawing from the university or because they need help and are unsure where to go.
ACCESSING OUR SERVICES
Student Support Services on the West Lafayette campus offer drop-in hours from 8:00 am-5:00 pm ET, Monday-Friday. Drop-in appointments are usually relatively short and intended for addressing specific questions. During this time, you can meet with a student support specialist to begin a conversation about an issue or concern. Following this initial meeting, the student support specialist may suggest a follow-up appointment for further discussion and assistance.
You can schedule an appointment by calling 765-494-1747 or emailing odos@purdue.edu. Dedicated appointments allow us to provide individualized assistance in the most comprehensive way possible to address questions and concerns. If you have previously met with one of our Student Support Specialists, please feel free to reach out directly to that person to schedule.
