Critical Need Fund / Disaster and Emergency Student Assistance Fund
Critical Need Fund
The Critical Need Fund was established by the Office of the Dean of Students, a unit of Student Life, to help ensure that currently enrolled Purdue University students have access to the support and resources they need to successfully recover from unexpected financial crises and stay on track academically. The fund assists undergraduate students by providing financial support when unexpected, unforeseen, and unavoidable emergency expenses occur and all other financial resources, including emergency loans and financial aid, have been exhausted. If you have questions regarding the Critical Need Fund, please call (765) 494-1747 or email odos@purdue.edu to speak with a Student Support Specialist. Funds distributed do not generally exceed $500.00. If you are currently receiving financial aid, please be aware that receiving funding from the Critical Need Fund may affect your future aid packages and funds received may be taxed as income.
The fund is made possible from generous donors committed to helping students.
