Healthy Boiler workshop focusing on fun family activities
Purdue’s Healthy Boiler Program focuses on not only employees, but their families as well. The upcoming “Fun Activities for the Family” workshop takes place virtually from noon to 1 p.m. Sept. 2 and supports the work-life integration, physical health and behavioral health pillars of the Healthy Boiler Program.
Led by Megan Shidler, registered dietitian at the Center for Healthy Living (CHL), the workshop will provide ideas on how to create healthier, happier kids while reinforcing familial bonds.
“Encouraging your kids to be more active and health-conscious doesn’t need to be complicated and can even be fun,” Shidler says. “Family activities provide an excellent way to get everyone involved and spend quality time together.”
Interested individuals should register by Tuesday (Sept. 1) via the Healthy Boiler Portal. Registration link is found under “Wellness Events” on the portal’s homepage. Questions regarding the program can be directed to 765-494-0111. Following registration, the workshop link will be emailed.
Healthy Boiler workshops are free to all benefits-eligible faculty and staff and dependents covered on a Purdue health plan.
Questions regarding the program can be directed to CHL at 765-494-0111.
