As flu season approaches and COVID-19 continues to affect communities worldwide, Purdue Fort Wayne’s health coach, Lindsay Bloom, will present a virtual workshop titled “Enhance Immunity” from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. ET Aug. 27. The workshop supports the physical health pillar of the Healthy Boiler Program.

An increasing amount of evidence tells us that our diet and lifestyle choices can influence how our bodies respond to illness,” Bloom says. “In the time of COVID-19, this information for staying healthy is more important than ever.”

Attendees will learn how to adopt simple, healthy behaviors to naturally support and enhance their immune systems and help defend their bodies against illness and disease.

Those interested in attending should register by Aug. 26 via the Healthy Boiler Portal (registration link can be found under the “Engage” tab, “Wellness Events” on the portal’s homepage). The workshop link will be emailed to those registered before the workshop.

Healthy Boiler workshops are free to benefits-eligible faculty and staff, as well as dependents covered on a Purdue health plan.

Questions about the workshop can be directed to the Center for Healthy Living at 765-494-0111.

Additionally, Bloom is available for virtual one-on-one health coaching appointments. To schedule, call 260-481-6651 or email lmbloom@pfw.edu.
