Open enrollment for 2027 benefits begins Oct. 27; resources available to assist

Human Resources — Benefits is reminding benefits-eligible faculty and staff that it is almost time to choose benefits for themselves, and their families if applicable, for 2027.

Individuals have two weeks — from Oct. 27 through Nov. 10 at 6 p.m. ET — to make their selections as well as complete the annually required re-election of their contributions to a health savings account (HSA), a health reimbursement arrangement (HRA) or a flexible spending account (FSA).

Purdue employees must also certify their tobacco-user status and spousal coverage eligibility each year to ensure premiums are correct in 2027.

While most benefits will automatically roll forward to 2027, all benefits-eligible employees are strongly encouraged to take the time to review their benefits and actively enroll to ensure they have the coverage in 2027 that best meets their needs.

The benefit choices made during open enrollment will be in effect for all of 2027 — unless a qualifying life event occurs.
