Virtual yoga sessions offered as part of Healthy Boiler workshop series

Employees are invited to join Lindsay Bloom, health coach at Purdue Fort Wayne, for virtual yoga classes in October, November and December. The workshops support the physical health and behavioral health pillars of the Healthy Boiler Program.

Virtual yoga sessions will take place from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesdays on the following dates:

  • Oct. 6.
  • Oct. 20.
  • Oct. 27.
  • Nov. 3.
  • Nov. 10.
  • Nov. 17.
  • Dec. 1.
  • Dec. 8.

“During the workshop, we will work to de-stress, breathe deeply and increase flexibility, balance and muscle tone,” Bloom says. “Individuals of all yoga levels – from beginner to advanced – are welcome.”

Those interested in attending should register via the Healthy Boiler Portal for any or all sessions in which they are interested. The deadline for registering is the day before the session occurs. The registration links can be found under the “Engage” tab, “Wellness Events” on the portal’s homepage.

Healthy Boiler workshops are free to all benefits-eligible faculty and staff and dependents covered on a Purdue medical plan.
