IDA+A Expands Leadership Team

As IDA+A takes on a broader role across the university, three members of its team are stepping into new leadership positions. Earlier this year, Molly Amstutz’s role was reclassified to Chief Data Officer, an executive position reporting directly to the Provost. In step with that change, Andrea Pluckebaum has been named Director, Analytics and Deputy Chief Data Officer, and Kendal Kosta-Mikel has been named Director, Institutional Data Governance.

Since joining IDA+A in January 2022, Pluckebaum has focused on building the analytics team’s capacity and developing its staff to better meet the needs of the university; under her leadership, the analytics team has grown significantly. Kosta-Mikel joined IDA+A in 2023 bringing nearly a decade of Purdue experience; since then, she has grown the data governance team considerably and expanded the scope of its work across the university.

In their new roles, Pluckebaum and Kosta-Mikel will each serve as senior representatives for IDA+A. Pluckebaum will focus on the office’s broader work, while Kosta-Mikel will lead on matters of data governance.

“As our responsibilities continue to grow, having leaders who can speak with authority and represent our office across the university is essential,” Amstutz said. “Andrea and Kendal have demonstrated that judgment and commitment, and I’m confident in their leadership.”
