2 On Wednesday, October 18, the Purdue Horticulture Society, Purdue Student Farm Organization, and Purdue American Society of Landscape Architects came together for a festive gathering at Meigs Horticulture Research Farm, rolling up their sleeves to harvest and carve pumpkins.



Widhalm lab undergraduate research students Shoshana Keim and Lauryn Rhodes each received CATE Undergraduate Research Funding awards from the College of Agriculture. Shoshana and Lauryn are working on separate projects to investigate juglone metabolism alongside their graduate student mentor, George Meyer.

The “IX Symposium of Zamoranos in the USA: Agriculture, Food, Technology, and Community” took place on October 20-21, drawing over 100 participants to Purdue’s campus. HLA, which boasts 15 Zamorano alumni among its faculty, graduate students, and visiting scholars, proudly supported the event as one of its sponsors.
