Service Learning

A very important component of the program is that all of the students work as a team to impact the community through service learning activities related to cancer prevention, such as programs to increase awareness of HPV vaccines and prevention of lung cancer in the students at Purdue.This component is critical to linking students research with the real world impact as well as enhances leadership skills and a better understanding of how to work in interdisciplinary teams. The work of the CPIP students has had a significant impact on the community to raise awareness of cancer prevention and providing resources for students and community members to promote cancer prevention.
