The Women’s Global Health Institute (WGHI) is going to hold a high tea event on November 7 at Burton D. Morgan Center for Entrepreneurship Room 121 from noon to 5 pm. Dr. Connie Weaver, Director of the WGHI, will give a progress report of the Institute, followed by a symposium on women’s health focusing on two topics: 1. Consensus Development for Public Health Guidelines; 2. Sex Differences in Biology and Disease – Vive la Differénce.
Pilot grant opportunities provided by the WGHI Mildred Elizabeth Edmundson Research (MEER) and the Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (CTSI) will be announced at the event. Proposals of outstanding scientific merit are requested to address translational research of women’s health issues focusing on one or more of the following: wellness, neurodegenerative disorders, bone health, and women’s cancers. Proposals focusing on prevention and early detection instead of treatment are highly encouraged. Details on eligibility, funds, and application guidelines can be learned at the event.
This is a free event. Please click here to register online by Nov 3.
