Carolyn Percifield is an American who, without any prior connection to Colombia, discovered its unique identity, fell in love with their people and worked hard to impact hundreds of lives.

Purdue alumnus Julián Bedoya pioneered air quality management in Medellín

Dr. Julián Bedoya’s career began in 1980, when he returned to his home country of Colombia after earning a master's degree in industrial engineering and a Ph.D. in environmental engineering from Purdue. Now, Bedoya is an authority in air quality. Working as an associate professor at Universidad Nacional de Colombia-Medellín and as an air quality modeler at San Francisco’s Department of Public Health. Read more >>
