EAFIT students visit Purdue for "Short study abroad in the US" program

Universidad EAFIT, located in Medellín is one of CPI’s strongest partners. This October, a group of 15 EAFIT students spent five busy days on Purdue’s campus in a “short study abroad in the US”. Catalina Gomez Toro, lead faculty in this study abroad explained how EAFIT chose Purdue for this program because of Purdue’s demonstrated interest and dedication in collaborating with the Colombian institution. The goal of this program was to give these students an opportunity to experience and learn about an American university such as Purdue, in order to explore the possibilities of internships or graduate study in the states.  Read more>>

Juan Quintero Florez

Juan Quintero Florez is a Medellín high school student with almost the same number of dreams as extracurricular activities. He was among the top ten students (out of 1800) in his robotics program who earned the privilege to travel to Purdue for a 2-week experience with the 2016 Gifted Education Resource Institute (GERI) Summer Camp – an experience he deeply cherishes.  Read more>>

Latino Research: Talento Local y de Exportación 

The Colombian Student Association at Purdue (CSAP) organized its 2nd Academic Event, “Latino Research Experiences: Talento Local y de Exportación”, which was held on Saturday, October 22, 2016. Student-organized and free of charge for attendees, this event provides a forum to discuss interdisciplinary issues with a particular focus on featuring research that Colombians are conducting in the United States and stimulating discussion on research topics related to Colombia. It also provides a venue for Purdue University graduate and undergraduate students to present their research and to network with experts in a variety of research fields.  Read more>>
