JoAnn Brouillette

JoAnn Brouillette was appointed to the Purdue University Board of Trustees in July 2006.  She provides vital institutional continuity and leadership, serving on the Executive, Academic and Student Affairs, and Audit and Enterprise Risk committees.

Brouillette is an Operating Partner with Lewis and Clark Partners, a growth equity fund specializing in the agriculture and food technology sectors. Her deep industry expertise stems from her previous role as managing partner of Demeter LP, a privately held agricultural and a commercial agribusiness firm focused on originating and trading commodities, which she led until its sale. She currently serves on the boards of Kokomo Grain and Biotown Biogas Holdings.

Brouillette has a distinguished history of service at both the state and national levels. In 2003 and 2005, she was appointed by President George W. Bush to the Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiation.

Her extensive board leadership includes service with the National Grain and Feed Association as a current Executive Committee and Board member, having previously served as Chair. At the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, she is a current Board member and Past Chair, and was recognized as the 2018 Volunteer of the Year. She also serves as a current Board member of the Indiana Sports Corporation and Chair of its Sports Academia Council. In addition, she is a current Regional Advisory Board member for First Merchants Bank and previously served as Board Chair for Greater Lafayette Commerce.

A committed advocate for Indiana’s economic and athletic landscape, Brouillette has served on the Indiana Ag Advisory Committee and Purdue’s Athletic Advisory Committee. Her contributions have been recognized with numerous honors, including the AgriVision Award from the State of Indiana (2010) and being named a YWCA Salute to Women Honoree (2014). A former standout athlete, she was named to the Silver Anniversary Team of the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame in 2004.

Brouillette earned a Bachelor of Arts in business administration from Hanover College.
