We are a student-focused, peer-mentored, as-needed, educational community. We provide the ability to complete projects through hands-on access to a safe ecosystem of consultation, training, technologies, and processes. We support students that want experience, demonstrate ability, and have passion.
DELIVERING INNOVATION
Students may use the Bechtel Center to work on class assignments, develop club projects, build design competition entries, create a product prototype for an entrepreneurial endeavor, or design innovative solutions for their own enjoyment.
KEY CAPABILITIES
ELECTRONICS
Manufacture your own electronics with oscilloscopes, hot air soldering stations and benchtop power supplies.
CAD/CAM
Draw your part in 3D space, and develop a toolpath to manufacture your part in a CNC machine.
MACHINERY
Drill, saw, mill, lathe, weld, sand – get trained and get to work on our industry-standard equipment.
3D PRINTING
With two different types of 3D printer available, you have a lot of options for your 3D printing project.
LASER CUTTING AND ENGRAVING
Use our Trotec laser to cut or etch patterns in the designs you create.
ASSEMBLY AND PROTOTYPING
You have the design, we have the space. Assemble your prototype or project in the Bechtel basement!
